🔶 Yemen’s government: In the Houthi missile attack on Mocha port, four civilians were killed
Yemen’s internationally recognized government announced that at least four civilians were killed in the missile attack by the Iran-backed Houthis on the port city of Mocha on the Red Sea coast.
Yemen’s government officials said that on Friday, 23 Mordad (14 August), the Houthis targeted civilian infrastructure and port facilities, and several fishing boats also caught fire.
The Houthis, meanwhile, claimed that they targeted ballistic missiles, weapons, and warships belonging to forces supported by Saudi Arabia.
The Yemen-based Houthi-affiliated news agency “Saba,” citing military sources, reported that the Houthis targeted the city of Mocha with six missiles; as a result of the attack, four civilians were killed and several fishing boats were set on fire.
The same news agency also reported that the Houthis carried out drone attacks on Aramco company facilities in the city of Najran. Saudi Arabia has not yet officially confirmed this report.
