Now, for the first time, her meeting with a foreign representative has been officially announced. The military government released images showing the 81-year-old Suu Kyi during a meeting with Arnaud de Buck, a representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Myanmar.

Myanmar’s state television reported that the meeting took place this morning (local time), but the venue was not disclosed. The published images show Suu Kyi and de Buck in a room with wooden walls. Over the years, no reliable information has been available about where she is being held and her physical condition.
