🔶 Israel expresses concern about Trump’s peace plan for Gaza

Donald Trump, the U.S. president, said on Friday, July 31 (August 9), that he had achieved an agreement to bring about peace in the Gaza Strip and announced that a peace delegation he had established had reached an agreement to disarm the Hamas terrorist group and other armed groups.

However, many ambiguities and doubts still remain regarding this agreement, and now Israel has also raised its concerns in this regard.

A spokesperson for Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, said that the Israeli government has conveyed its “serious security concerns” to the United States.

On this basis, an assessment by Israel’s intelligence services indicates that instead of disarmament, Hamas is still trying to rebuild its military capabilities.

The prime minister’s spokesperson emphasized that the Israel Defense Forces will not withdraw from the Gaza Strip before Hamas lays down its weapons.
