🔶 Shooting at a shopping mall in Idaho leaves three dead

Officials in Twin Falls, Idaho, said that following a shooting on Saturday in a shopping area, three people were killed. The city police chief said the shooter was killed and the danger to the community has ended.

Josh Palmer, the city’s public information coordinator, told Reuters that reports of an active shooter were received at around 2:30 p.m. local time near a restaurant in a busy commercial area.

According to him, about an hour later it was determined that the shooter was no longer creating a threat.

Matthew Hicks, the police chief of Twin Falls, said at a press conference that he still does not know the exact number of those killed.

However, Palmer told Reuters that three people were killed and at least two others were injured.

The police chief confirmed that the attacker is also among the dead.

Police are identifying the attacker and investigating the motive behind the shooting.

Twin Falls is a city of about 47,400 people in the Magic Valley region in central Idaho.
