🔶 Trump: Iran does not pay the salaries of its military forces and suppresses protesters

Donald Trump, the U.S. president, accused the Iranian government in a statement on the social network Truth Social of not paying the salaries of large parts of its armed forces and, at the same time, intensifying the violent crackdown on protesters.

In this social media post, Trump described Iran’s internal situation as a severe humanitarian emergency that requires immediate intervention.

Trump wrote: “The Islamic Republic is on the road to the downfall of Iran. It does not pay the salaries of large parts of its military forces, while at the same time it kills protesters—even when they are not protesting—at a level that has never been seen before. This is a humanitarian crisis of catastrophic proportions, and it must be stopped immediately.”

Trump’s public remarks come amid the Iranian government’s involvement in problems such as runaway inflation, a decline in the value of the national currency, and the ongoing U.S. maritime blockade that has disrupted Iran’s oil sales and trade.
