🔻Takada Tamaki, Japan’s Ambassador to Iran, bid farewell to the people of Iran at the end of his term of duty, with the accompaniment of the “Station” orchestra and a flute solo performance featuring works from films by Miyazaki.
In the Instagram account of the Japan Embassy in Iran, on Thursday — 9 Mehr — in addition to the official announcement of this news in Persian, Japanese and English, thanks were given for the venue where these pieces were performed — the Garan Heritage Traditional Hotel, Rashidiyye.
Mr. Takada Tamaki announced the end of his term on 17 Shahrivar / 8 September, by attending the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office and meeting with Abbas Araqchi.
Previously, on 15 Mordad / 6 August, the Japanese ambassador had also, together with the Station Orchestra led by Mehdi Nowrouzi, performed works from the film music of “Years Away from Home,” “The Story of Life” and “Land of the North” on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Iran–Japan relationship.
The TV series “Years Away from Home,” which was shown in Iran in the 1980s, with the name “Oshin,” featured the main character of the story known to many, and went on to become one of the most watched series in the history of television in Iran.
