🔻The CEO of Iran Oil Terminals Company says the Kharg oil terminal was hit “548 times” during the war, and that a significant portion of these attacks were carried out with “bunker-busting missiles”; however, the terminal’s employees were able to export “70 million” barrels of oil during this period.

Abbas Asadroz said that the average oil exports from the Kharg terminal during the 40 days of the war were “about 10%” higher than in the period before the war.

He attributed this increase to “the continuous presence and the efforts of the employees in difficult wartime conditions.”

Mr. Asadroz also, referring to the importance of the Kharg terminal in Iran’s oil industry, said: “About 93% of the country’s crude oil is received, stored and exported on this island. Therefore, the continued operation of this terminal plays an important role in the export chain and the country’s oil industry.”

Kharg is Iran’s largest oil terminal.
