Shervin Tabrizi, spokesperson for Tehran Province’s Emergency Services, announced that so far 18 people have been injured in the explosion at the Shamsabad industrial town, four of whom have been transferred to medical centers for further treatment.

During the incident, one of the emergency service bases deployed near the site of the explosion was also damaged and destroyed; however, the emergency forces were on duty at the time of the incident, and none of the staff were injured.

At noon on Tuesday, an explosion occurred in the Shamsabad industrial town. According to the announcement by Dawood Vali, a member of the board of directors of the town, it was related to an internal tank at a factory in the Aluminum Industrial Town.

Shamsabad Industrial Town is among the areas that have repeatedly been targeted in both the 12-day and the 40-day wars.
