🔶Saudi Arabia Warns of Possible Threat in Jazan

The Saudi Civil Defense Authority on Sunday, August 16, issued a security alert and asked citizens in the Jazan province to be alert to any possible threat in this border region with Yemen.

In a statement, the Saudi Civil Defense Authority said the alert was issued via the national early warning platform in Jazan province. The statement did not specify details of the possible threat, but such warnings are usually issued before an attack on an area is likely.

The Houthis in Yemen, who receive support from Tehran, have repeatedly targeted Saudi Arabia’s energy and oil facilities in Jazan in recent weeks.

Jazan is located in the southwest of Saudi Arabia, near the Yemen border, and is considered one of Saudi Arabia’s coastal provinces in the Red Sea.
