🔻Prominent Republican senator called for arming opponents of the Iranian government

Ted Cruz, the Republican senator from the U.S. state of Texas, at a meeting in Michigan expressed dissatisfaction that Donald Trump has not yet agreed to send weapons to the opponents of the Islamic Republic.

Senator Cruz, who spoke on Wednesday at a meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition, while announcing support for the continuation of Iran’s naval blockade, emphasized that arming opponents could be a way to end the Iran crisis through the collapse of the government.

According to Mr. Cruz, in his meeting with Mr. Trump on Tuesday, he stressed the need to arm the opponents of the Iranian government, but he did not discuss anything about Mr. Trump’s response.

According to him, Donald Trump wants to put an end to the Iran matter, but so far that goal has not been achieved.
