🔻Shell Oil and Gas announced that the company’s adjusted net profit in the third quarter of this year reached $10.81 billion; a figure higher than analysts’ expectations and the highest level of profit for the company since 2022.

Since the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran and war began about eight months ago, global energy supply has been disrupted and caused a sharp increase in prices. This situation has helped Shell raise its refining margin for turning crude oil into products such as diesel to its highest level.

Shell’s refining margin in the third quarter reached an unprecedented level of $42 per barrel, while in the same period of the previous year it was $11.60.

Shell’s adjusted profit in the third quarter of last year was $5.43 billion, and as a result, the company’s profit has nearly doubled over the course of a year.
