Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, says that “the government has adopted a new arrangement to manage special circumstances.

He wrote in a post on the social media platform X: “The enemy’s plan in recent months has been to cut the country’s vital arteries.”

He said: “Economic pressure has increased, but we have not allowed the enemy’s goals in the economic war to be realized.”

In recent weeks, the United States has significantly increased economic sanctions against Iran as part of “economic expulsion operations.” Last week, it announced new sanctions against Iran such that these sanctions, this time, have gone beyond oil and the financial sector, targeting Iran’s automobile manufacturing, railways, production, and steel industries as well.
