Mohammad-Javad Akbarin, a member of the Iran International editorial team, said about the Islamic Republic’s new wave of attacks on countries in the region: “The Islamic Republic, with the assumption that the United States is in a weaker position, wants to determine the terms of war and peace through preemptive actions. But rather than stemming from strength, this behavior is the result of the erosion of its military capabilities and the weakening of its network of proxy forces.”
