🔶 Israeli Defense Minister called the Flydubai flight incident a “attempt at a jihadist terrorist attack”
According to a Reuters report, citing Flightradar24’s flight-tracking website, the second Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv with the number FZ1081, contrary to initial reports, continued on its route as scheduled.
Earlier, it had been reported that the flight had changed course and was returning to Dubai.
But The Times of Israel, citing flight-tracking data, wrote that the aircraft was still heading toward Tel Aviv without any sign of an emergency situation or unusual occurrence.
According to the report, the apparently incorrect news release seems to have been caused by disruptions in flight-tracking websites, which mistakenly showed the aircraft as returning to Dubai.
The explanation was published at a time when Flydubai flights to Tel Aviv have drawn further attention following another air incident.
In that case, the flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv, after reports of a confrontation between pilots, had been rerouted to Saudi Arabia.
