Ali Reza Namvar Haqiqi, a political analyst, said his experience in negotiations with the Islamic Republic has shown that negotiators do not necessarily have final authority, and that potential agreements may face opposition from parts of power after returning to Tehran.

He added that after the recent war, the gap in decision-making within the power structure of the Islamic Republic has been intensified, and reaching consensus for a final agreement has become more difficult. According to Namvar Haqiqi, Washington and Tehran, ahead of the U.S. midterm election, are trying to buy time, but at the same time tensions and the likelihood of conflict have increased.
