Donald Trump, the president of the United States, said on Tuesday, October 27 (November 5) (5 Aban) during his campaign in Texas for the midterm election: “Maybe one day, in the near future, it will become the 51st state of the United States.”
In part of his remarks, Mr. Trump described the United States’ relationship with Venezuela as “excellent,” and said “billions of dollars are invested there by the biggest oil companies, many of which are from Texas.”
He said “we extract a lot of oil for ourselves,” and that Venezuela “will become a rich country” and “maybe one day, in the near future, it will become the 51st state of the United States.”
Donald Trump has entered the final week of his last midterm election campaign and is making a frantic effort to keep the traditional Republican strongholds in place against Democratic candidates who have unexpectedly emerged as competitive contenders.
