🔻Behind Iran’s war front: Which bases in Europe did the U.S. use?

The recent security incident near the RAF Fyford base in the UK, which during the recent war hosted U.S. bombers for an attack on Iran, has once again drawn attention to the role of European air bases in this war.

UK counter-terrorism police say they have detained an Iranian-British man with dual citizenship in connection with this incident. Earlier, Andy Burnham, the UK prime minister, had said there are “strong indications” that Iran played a role in this incident. Iran has denied any involvement in the matter.
