🔻U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday night during a speech in the state of Texas that, in his view, Iran is “ready to submit.”

He said he believes the U.S. will win the war “immediately after the election,” although later he suggested it could happen “maybe before the election.”

Mr. Trump said: “I will make sure that Iran’s business ends very soon.” He also added that energy prices will “quickly and sharply” fall.

The U.S. president said Washington is trying to deal “gently” with the current leader of Iran.

He added: “To be honest, we don’t know who we should negotiate with. Nobody wants to be president.”

The U.S. president’s remarks about an end to the war in the near future and the fall in fuel prices as soon as the war with Iran stops come at the same time as growing dissatisfaction among Americans with the continued rise in the prices of gasoline and diesel, as well as inflation in many goods, including food.
