🔺Zelensky accepts Trump’s energy ceasefire; Russian attacks

▪ The president of Ukraine welcomed the announcement of an energy ceasefire from Trump and said his country’s armed forces have received the necessary instructions.

▪ Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine is ready to refrain from striking its Russian energy infrastructure and expects the same readiness from Russia. He called the agreement “good news for everyone” and added that it is important for it to be turned into reality.

▪ Zelensky said Ukraine has proposed many steps to reduce tensions, and the Russian president’s response to everyone has been “no.”

▪ Zelensky also said that Russian forces continue to attack energy infrastructure and struck a power and heat plant in Kharkiv. A Ukrainian official confirmed that the attack took place after the ceasefire was announced.
