🔻The military spokesman for the Houthis of Yemen took responsibility for the attack on King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, as well as attacks on other targets across Saudi Arabia.
Yahya Saree, the spokesman for the group, said in a statement that they carried out several operations targeting King Khalid Airport, which “led to disruption of air traffic at the airport and its complete shutdown.”
Other targets the Houthis said they attacked included a fuel depot belonging to Aramco and an oil refinery in the eastern region, as well as King Fahd Airport in the city of Dammam.
The missile attack on Saturday is considered the deadliest attack on one of the Gulf states since the start of the U.S. and Israel war against Iran on February 28. More than 12 people were killed and 300 were injured in the attack. The airport remained closed on Sunday as well.
