🔸Wildlife wardens at the Kaudeh Wildlife Refuge in Firuzkuh have recorded fresh images of the lives of leopards in this protected area.

🔸Akbar Mirza Karimí, a wildlife warden from Firuzkuh, captured these images of two leopards’ den in the Kaudeh Wildlife Refuge while monitoring wildlife.

🔸Based on statistics from recorded sightings, so far 35 leopards have been observed in Firuzkuh County.

🔸With an area of about 74,000 hectares, the Kaudeh Wildlife Refuge is one of the important wildlife habitats in Firuzkuh County, which has been under protection for nearly half a century and is home to diverse species of wildlife and birds of prey.

🔸The area was previously known as a no-hunting zone and, about three years ago, was upgraded to a wildlife refuge while preserving the previous boundaries.

🔸Kaudeh’s location on the border of two different habitats—Hyrcanian forests and the Iran–Turanian vegetation zone—has led to the presence in this area of animal species, birds, and plant cover from both habitats.
