🔶 Whelts: 146 countries condemned Iran’s attacks on ships
Mike Whelts, the United States ambassador to the United Nations, said that 146 countries, in an “unprecedented” move, have banned Iran’s attacks on non-military ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
On Saturday, in an interview with the program “Fox News Live,” Whelts, while announcing this, condemned Iran for violating the understanding and attacking non-military ships. He said: “You can’t attack non-military ships or shoot down passenger planes just because you’re in the middle of some kind of conflict. This is a violation of international law, and it’s good to see the world joining us in condemning this action.”
After the implementation of air sanctions against Iranian companies and the suspension of Iranian flights in some countries, Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic, had threatened neighboring countries that if they cooperate with and align with the United States, “their airports also won’t be able to have flights.”
