🔻Talk between Turkey and U.S. foreign ministers about Iran and regional developments
Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Marco Rubio, the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers meeting in Atlanta, in the United States.
According to news agencies, during the talks they discussed bilateral relations, the ongoing negotiations between Washington and Tehran, the situation in the Gaza Strip, the war in Russia and Ukraine, and other regional developments.
The meeting comes as Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Turkey, and Donald Trump recently exchanged views in a phone conversation about bilateral relations, Iran, and other regional and global developments.
In that conversation, Mr. Erdoğan, among other things, emphasized that Turkey is ready to help with efforts to revive the diplomatic process between Ukraine and Russia, and to end the war through that process.
