The UK Maritime Trade Operations Centre announced on Friday, 10 Mehr, that an oil tanker was targeted by an unidentified projectile while exiting the Strait of Hormuz, after which there was a limited fire on the ship and its power was cut.

According to a report by the tanker’s captain to this centre, the fire was contained and the vessel continued on its way. In this incident, no report of casualties or environmental consequences has been published.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations Centre said that the relevant authorities are investigating the incident and asked passing ships to proceed with caution and report any suspicious activity.
