The human rights website Haalvush reported that at least five members of the Fatemiyoun brigade were killed in an attack by armed individuals in the Rodmahi area of Zahedan.

At the same time, Islamic Republic forces and armed individuals clashed for several hours in Rask, and the headquarters building of the Intelligence Office in Nokabad, Taftan, was also targeted in a gun attack.

Haalvush, which covers news from the Sistan and Baluchestan province, said the attack on the Fatemiyoun members took place at around 6:30 a.m. on Friday, the 10th of Mehr, when Fatemiyoun forces were conducting patrols along the route from Kelahpdeh to the Rodmahi area using a Land Cruiser vehicle.

According to eyewitnesses, first an explosive device set along the vehicle’s route detonated, equipped with a heavy weapon “Dushka,” and after the vehicle was destroyed, the armed individuals opened fire at it.

The identities of the dead have not been announced so far.

The Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ ground forces also confirmed the death of one of its personnel in this attack and said that an roadside bomb detonated on one of the routes in Sistan and Baluchestan.

Saberin News channel, close to the IRGC, also reported that the person killed was from the Fatemiyoun brigade’s forces and that the attack took place in the Rodmahi area of Zahedan County.
