Eight years after comparing protests known as France’s gilets jaunes with the protests of Dey 1396 in Iran, unrest in France is being compared again with the bloody protests of Dey 1404 in Iran. This time, however, the difference between supporters and opponents of the Iranian government is, above all, over responsibility for the violence and the deaths of protesters in Iran.
