🔻Trump: Ukraine should elect a new president to end the war with Russia

Donald Trump, the U.S. president, has urged Ukraine to elect a new president who will end the war with Russia.

He accused Volodymyr Zelensky of intentionally prolonging the war and of ignoring the U.S. requests to stop attacks on Russian oil refineries.

Trump’s remarks came after Zelensky criticized the U.S. decision to suspend sanctions on exports of Russian diesel fuel.

The Ukrainian president described the decision as “a weak move and a gift to Vladimir Putin.”

Ukraine’s European partners also echoed these remarks.

Trump said that the deal would reduce diesel fuel prices; which have risen significantly since the start of the war with Iran.
