Barak Ravid, a reporter for Axios, says that two U.S. officials and one Israeli official have denied reports in Israeli media about Washington’s request to Israel for an independent attack on Iran before the U.S. midterm elections.

He wrote on X that the officials told him that the United States has not asked Israel to begin an attack against Iran before the elections.

The denial was made in response to a report by The Jerusalem Post, citing Maariv, which said that over the past two weeks the United States pressured Israel to carry out an independent operation against Iran.
