🔶 "Trump, in a conversation with Xi Jinping, calls China’s help to Iran completely unacceptable"

David Perdue, the U.S. ambassador to China, said that during his talks with Xi Jinping at the White House, Donald Trump described China’s support for Iran as “unacceptable.”

Perdue, in an interview with the CNBC network, said that during his meeting with the Chinese president, Trump made the United States’ position clear regarding Beijing’s cooperation with Tehran.

According to him, the U.S. president told Xi Jinping that China’s help to Iran is “not acceptable” for Washington.

The remarks come as the Wall Street Journal had previously reported that from the beginning of this year through the end of June, China sent about 1,300 air shipments containing dual-use components for drones and missiles to the Islamic Republic’s Ministry of Defense.

Based on that report, these parts can have both civilian and military applications and therefore fall under the category of dual-use items.

In recent months, while Iran has been at war and there has been a crisis along the region’s shipping routes, the United States has sought to target supply networks for equipment, components, and related technology tied to Tehran.
