Tokyo will purchase drones manufactured by Ukrainian company Skyfall on a trial basis, Kyodo reported, citing senior LDP member Itsunori Onodera, who visited Kiev.

Japan plans to assess UAV capabilities and is considering adopting Ukrainian attack drones for the Self-Defense Forces.

Onodera gathered data on modern warfare to share in intra-party discussions on revising key defense documents.
