🔺The United States called for an end to the Islamic Republic’s support for Houthi rebels

▪The United States urged the Houthis to stop their attacks on Saudi Arabia and the Yemeni government, and asked the Islamic Republic to end its support for this group.

▪The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations for Management and Reform, at a Security Council meeting on Yemen, said that Washington is “deeply concerned” about an escalation of tensions by the Houthis, including attacks on civilian infrastructure.

▪Jeff Barthoos said: “This pattern remains undeniable. The Houthis act as an instrument of Tehran to threaten freedom of navigation, undermine regional stability, and create fear among innocent civilians.”

▪He added: “We want the Houthis to stop their attacks and we want Iran to end its support for the Houthis.”
