The UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization reported that a ship was targeted in the west of Al Jazira Al Hamra in the UAE.

Data from this maritime body shows that the mentioned vessel, in the middle of the coastal area between Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE and Abu Musa Island in Iran, was hit by an unidentified projectile.

On Saturday, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps threatened that it would target vessels that do not pass through routes approved by Iran, after taking responsibility for an attack on a liquefied gas tanker named “NV Sunshine” near the Strait of Hormuz. The UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization says that a fire caused by the impact of the projectile on the ship was brought under control, but information about the crew’s condition has not yet been relayed.

In recent days, the Islamic Republic has intensified attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz, and since the beginning of this month of the current year, at least 12 maritime incidents have been reported in waters south of Iran.
