An armed alliance led by Saudi Arabia said on Saturday, 18 Mehr (October 10), that it has launched a large-scale operation targeting the Houthis’ forces and military capabilities in Yemen.

According to the alliance’s spokesperson, so far 136 military targets in areas under Houthi control have been destroyed. The spokesperson of the alliance also emphasized that the alliance’s forces provide round-the-clock support to Yemen’s government forces through air operations.

Shia Houthis supported by the Islamic Republic of Iran began their activities in Yemen in the 1990s, and together with Lebanon’s Hezbollah are considered part of the “Axis of Resistance.”
