🔶 The U.S. sends a third aircraft carrier and about 10,000 military personnel to the Middle East

The United States is dispatching a third aircraft carrier and about 10,000 military personnel to the Middle East; a move taking place amid reports about Donald Trump’s review of renewed attacks on Iran.

According to Fox News, the carrier strike group of the “USS Theodore Roosevelt” and the U.S. Marine Corps’ 13th unit are expected to enter the region by the end of November.

Two U.S. officials said that the USS Theodore Roosevelt will join two aircraft carriers, the “USS George H.W. Bush” and the “USS George Washington,” which were previously deployed in the region.

The Theodore Roosevelt group has about six thousand sailors, and the Marine Corps unit and the accompanying land-sea air group also have a total of about 4,200 personnel.

Based on this report, the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier left San Diego on September 27, and the 13th Marine Corps unit also departed a day later along with the amphibious group “Makin Island.”
