🔶 IRGC political deputy: If Iran’s infrastructure is attacked, we will target the internet cables of the Strait of Hormuz
Yadollah Javani, the political deputy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, threatened that if Iran’s infrastructure is targeted, the Islamic Republic could target the internet cables passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
Javani, in an interview with Al Alam TV, said that if the United States and its allies damage Iran’s infrastructure, the Islamic Republic will use its capabilities to target their assets and infrastructure.
He said: «We will easily destroy seven important cables that pass through the waters of the Strait of Hormuz and we can certainly inflict serious damage on the United States and its regional allies.»
The political deputy of the IRGC added that Tehran is moving toward an approach of “smart and in some cases aggressive” measures to increase deterrence.
Javani claimed that the Islamic Republic’s capability to attack U.S., Israeli, and their allies’ targets has increased, and that U.S. bases in the region and even farther bases can be targeted.
