🔶 عراقچی: Saudi Arabia and the Houthis have not responded to Iran’s mediation proposal

According to Abbas Iraqchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthis have still not responded to Tehran’s proposal for mediation between the two sides.

Iraqchi, in an interview with the Iraqi network “Al-Akhbariya,” broadcast on Wednesday, October 20 (Mehr 28), said that Iran has not received any response from Riyadh or the Houthis regarding this initiative so far.

He first raised Iran’s mediation proposal earlier this month, at the same time as the Houthis’ attacks on Saudi Arabia intensified.

The Islamic Republic provides financial and political support to Yemen’s Houthis, but it has rejected any involvement in the group’s attacks on Saudi Arabia.
