The U.S. Embassy in Iraq, in a security warning, once again advised American citizens not to travel to this country. The warning says that terrorist-aligned non-state militant groups have attacked targets within Iraq and the region from Iraqi territory, posing a serious risk to public security.
Based on this warning, there may be missiles, drones, and rockets in the skies over Iraq. Americans residing in Iraq should increase their readiness, follow local media, and comply with instructions from local authorities. The text of the warning states that disruption of travel and the closure of airspace could occur within a short period.
The U.S. Embassy in Iraq also reminded that the country is at Level Four of the travel advisory, meaning “Do not travel.” The text of the warning says: “Do not travel to Iraq due to terrorism, kidnapping, armed conflict, civil unrest, and the limited ability of the U.S. government to provide emergency services.”
