The number of women generated with artificial intelligence in political videos on the internet has been increasing every day, and it often depicts gender-stereotyped images of women.
BBC, after reviewing these posts, concluded that there are different motives behind the publication of these images.
While the aim of some of these images is to discredit a political movement, others use the popularity of political content to attract audiences and earn money.
BBC was unable to identify the people behind these accounts. Meanwhile, Meta companies—owners of Instagram and Facebook, and TikTok—announced that they removed content that violated their rules.
