The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Sunday, 11 Mordad, in a statement on the second anniversary of the killing of Ismail Haniyeh, the former leader of Hamas, announced that “the plot to disarm Hamas will go nowhere and has already been defeated.”

The statement also said that “the final victory of Palestine is closer than what the ‘enemies’ think.”

The Guard Corps described the assassination of Haniyeh in Tehran, when he was attending as the official guest of the inauguration ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian, as a “further flagrant violation of the principles and norms of international law, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity” of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
