Telecom retirees held a rally on Sunday, 11 Mordad, in Tehran, Ahvaz, Mashhad, Ardabil and Kermanshah, and protested their demands and the performance of the Iranian Telecommunications Company and its major shareholders, including the “Execution Headquarters of Imam Khomeini” and the Gostaresh Electronic Eminence Cooperative Company of Iran, affiliated with the “Cooperation Foundation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.”

In the rally, the retirees emphasized that these entities have for years refused to fulfill their legal obligations toward their telecom employees and retirees, and that their acquired rights after privatization have been continuously violated.

The weekly protests by telecom retirees have continued while, despite the continuation of follow-up efforts, their demands have still gone unanswered.
