🔺Tehran Prosecutor’s Office files charges against organizers of Art Fair

▪Tehran Prosecutor’s Office filed a complaint against the organizers of the Art Fair art exhibition at the Iran Mall commercial complex and blocked the ticket-selling website and the event’s user account on social media.

▪Mizan News Agency, the official media outlet of the judiciary of the Islamic Republic, reported today, Monday, that this action was taken following the holding of the exhibition with “failure to observe legal and religious criteria,” and that the suspects were summoned to the prosecutor’s office to obtain explanations.

▪The prosecutor’s office did not name any of the defendants and did not explain which criteria were violated.

▪This is the second public event in the past month that has come under judicial and media pressure in Iran.
