🔶 Taliban bans use of smartphones for officials
After nearly five years since the Taliban regained power in Afghanistan, this extremist Islamist group has banned the use of smartphones for its officials and government employees.
According to a recent report by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), the Taliban leadership’s order also provides for dismissal from work for those who violate these regulations.
Based on this report, the order was circulated from mid-June, but government institutions have different interpretations of it. Various international media had also reported on it before.
