Sedef Baghbanian, an Iran International journalist, from Milan, said, citing the approval of a plan to deploy 500 army personnel on the streets of Italy following recent unrest, that some of the damaged shops are still being repaired, and that luxury-brand stores have increased their security measures.

She added that despite the deployment of army forces alongside the police, these forces will not have independent police powers. Baghbanian said that the publication of new calls for protests on social media has increased citizens’ concerns about a repeat of violence and looting of stores.
