Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, during the continuation of his election campaign, in an interview with the Israeli media Arutz Shva (Channel 7), rejected reports that Donald Trump, the U.S. president, recently prevented the execution of a planned Israeli military attack against the Islamic Republic.
In response to the report, Netanyahu said: “The report is incorrect. The day will come when the truth becomes clear.”
The Israeli prime minister also described the threat posed by the Islamic Republic as one of the main issues in the upcoming election and said: “If we don’t do this, you know, the choice is between us and this gang government in Tehran. Either we destroy them, or they destroy us.”
In another part of the interview, while referring to Iran’s nuclear program, Netanyahu once again emphasized the necessity of overthrowing the government of the Islamic Republic in order to permanently eliminate its threats against Israel.
He compared the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program to “cancer” and said that despite Israeli operations against nuclear facilities and scientists associated with the program, the Islamic Republic continues to work to rebuild its capabilities.
