🔶 Russian officials: A bomb explosion in a restaurant in Moscow left three dead
As a result of a bomb explosion in a restaurant in Moscow, the Russian capital, at least three people were killed and 21 others were injured.
The state news agency TASS, citing Russia’s “National Anti-Terrorism Committee,” reported on the evening of Saturday, 10 Mordad (August 1): “An improvised explosive device went off in a restaurant located on Kudrinskaya Square in Moscow, killing three people.”
According to this report, the woman who had the bomb with her is also among those killed. A security officer who had stopped this woman was also killed. The third victim was one of the restaurant’s customers.
RIA Novosti reported that the explosion occurred at around 8:10 p.m. local time, “near a summer cafe” in the Russian capital.
According to the French news agency, since the start of the war in Ukraine in February 2022, Ukraine’s intelligence services have taken responsibility for several attacks against Russian army officers and prominent supporters of the war, or have been accused of carrying out those attacks.
