🔶 Settlers attack European diplomats in the West Bank

According to Maxime Prévot, Belgium’s foreign minister, masked Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians and representatives of Catholics, as well as Western diplomats and officials. During this attack, diplomats from Belgium, France, and Poland were targeted, and a French mayor was beaten and injured.

In this regard, Gideon Sa’ar, Israel’s foreign minister, criticized the settlers’ attack and called those responsible “agitators.”

However, Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, Israel’s prime minister, while referring to reports of an attack on European diplomats, stated that “serious allegations require compelling evidence.”

According to Netanyahu’s office, “images alone are not sufficient to clarify the full course of events or individual responsibility of those involved. The situation remains under investigation.”

In response, Sa’ar strongly condemned the “severe violent actions of Israeli agitators.” He said on the social media platform X that police investigations have begun. He added that “law enforcement institutions are trying to identify the attackers and bring them before the court.”
