Robert Harward, former deputy commander of CENTCOM: Iran is buying time

🔸Donald Trump, the U.S. president, has temporarily halted the implementation of a broad attack plan against Iran as Washington swings between increasing military pressure and continuing the path of diplomacy, so that talks about the Strait of Hormuz and the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program can continue.

🔸Both Iran and the United States say the talks are making progress, but no agreement has yet been reached.

🔸Radio Farda/Radio Azadi spoke with Robert Harward, a retired U.S. Navy admiral, a former member of the Navy SEALs, and a former deputy commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), to examine how the Iranian government assesses this period and whether current diplomatic efforts can lead to a lasting outcome.
