🔸Massoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, said on Monday that the Islamic Republic will defend its borders and “its limits,” but “is not looking to expand the war.”
He made the remarks on Monday during a visit to the Ministry of Health and Treatment, and while criticizing the performance of Donald Trump, the president of the United States, said: “We should try to build, in these circumstances, a society in which the enemy will not covet it, will not enter it, and will not be able to break up and destroy this social set.”
🔸Iran’s state media published these remarks a day after Donald Trump, the president of the United States, said that negotiations with Tehran are ongoing.
🔸However, officials of the Islamic Republic have denied carrying out or planning negotiations with the United States.
