🔸A senior Iranian source said on Tuesday to Reuters that, under a plan being considered with Oman to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, Iran wants control over the passage of ships entering the strait and notification of the movements of outbound vessels; so that it can intervene if necessary.
🔸The source, who is involved in negotiations according to a Reuters report but Reuters did not name him, said: “It is a general framework that is being discussed at the moment.”
🔸According to him, the outbound route would pass through a passage between Iran and Oman, and the exit permit would be issued via Oman after Iran is informed.
🔸The source added: “It is unlikely that Tehran will change its position.”
