🔻Reuters: Disagreement among U.S. intelligence agencies has meant Iran-related threats are not being assessed correctly
🔻Reuters says that differences between the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, along with reductions in personnel and political pressures, have caused disruption in the sharing of information and intelligence assessments within the U.S. government, as well as the exchange of information between the government and Congress.
The U.S. National Intelligence Council is responsible for coordinating among security agencies and reports to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
Based on this report, the CIA has stopped cooperating in preparing the assessments of the U.S. National Intelligence Council.
U.S. officials said that none of the National Intelligence Council assessments focused on an Iran war.
This concern about an intelligence shortfall has been raised while the Trump administration says it may decide to attack Iran again.
